NEW CLASSES
MERMAID/MERMAN
Come join the underwater fun! Mermaid/Merman classes are a unique opportunity to enhance your swimming skills and take your underwater swimming to the next level. Created by FINFUN; these unique suits and fins are a way to discover water and build body awareness and strength.

*** WARNING - THIS BY NO MEANS IS A SWIMMING LESSON. Participants must be able to enter the class already having the ability to complete the prerequisites.

Prerequisites
1.Float on Back relaxed and unassisted
2. Float on Front relaxed and unassisted while taking breaths
3. Rolling from Front Float to Back Float and Back Float to Front float while swimming
4. Tread Water - approximately 1 minuet
5. Swim 25 meters unassisted Front Crawl
6. Be able to do basic Dolphin Kick 25 meters

JUNIOR LIFEGUARDS
 
The Junior Lifeguard class is designed for participants 11-14 years of age or those who have completed the 5th grade. This class means to be an effective transition from our Advanced 2 and Advanced 3 swim lesson programs to the American Red Cross Lifeguarding Class. This class is a unique way to stay involved in the water. Junior Lifeguarding offers the introduction to basic water safety awareness, communication decision making, and responsibilities of a lifeguard. It will promote the skills needed for entry to the American Red Cross Lifeugarding Course. NOTE: This course does not certify participants in CPR/First Aid, AED, or in any way shape or form as a lifeguard.

Dates: July 10th - August 4th (20 Classes)
Monday - Friday 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm



POOL CLOSES - AUGUST 20th, 2017

Dog Days - August 27th

Time: 1 pm – 5 pm
Cost: $3/per Dog & $3/person
Bring a canned/bagged DOG FOOD item & owner gets in free
Rules:
Each dog MUST have an owner. Any dog entering the facility must be “Dog Friendly”

Any dog not deemed exercising “Dog Friendliness” will be asked to leave

All owners must have leash for dog on their possession at all times

All owners/volunteers will be required to sign a waiver and provide proof of license/shots for dog

All owners will be required to clean up any “Dog Messes”

Due to the water not being chemically balanced to code - No Persons are allowed to be in the water
All DOG FOOD items will be donated to the Monroe County Animal Shelter
